Happy April! I'm deep in urban jungle cliche, but the bird feeder that my roomie hung off the edge of our fire escape is drawing purple finches, doves, and sparrows. We're keeping the kitchen window open, and the bird song is floating into this Brooklyn apartment as though it knew all along not just trees grow here.
